If you were in Big Bear at any time within the last ten days of December than you are aware of the 
popularity of our little four season community. How great that so many people chose to use their vacation dollars to come up here and have fun in the snow, celebrate a white Christmas and ring in the New Year. The traffic was at a stand still most times but, if you were up here and think it is like this all winter than not to worry, on your next trip back to Big Bear, you will find shorter wait time at restaurants, quicker checkout at the grocery stores and a bit more elbow room at the ski resorts and snow play areas.
This weekend at the Discovery Center, a film festival showing short films showing transportation via human powered transportation. Funds raised will go towards introducing youth to snowshoeing. The discovery center also has snowshoeing adventures.
